Where are you located?
We are located in the heart of Downtown Norfolk, VA. Next to MacArthur Center and across from the beautiful Slover Library, Humble Hair is conveniently situated less than 3 minutes from interstate 264.
Where do I park?
We recommend economy parking at MacArthur Center and having a stroll across the street to find us! Parking here is the most affordable option. Now for you "extra guac" clients, street parking and the Hilton Main parking garage are the closest to our space. You will pay close to $2/hr, depending on signage and posted rates.
How do I book an Appointment?
Click here! Text Kwanza if you are unable to find the perfect date for the service you need. Keep in mind, Shanita is not accepting new permanent clients until further notice.
Does Shanita have a waitlist?
Unfortunately, no. Shanita is unable to maintain a waitlist at this time. However, on the occasion she receives last minute cancellations or openings when clients go on extended breaks (babies, medical, braids, etc). In this case, she sends FLASH APPOINTMENT notifications. You must be subscribed to the website to be notified. Subscribe here.
Your deposit is non refundable and only transferrable within a reasonable timeframe, as approved by your stylist. If there is no availability for a reschedule, your deposit may not transfer to a new date.
Do you have hair on site?
Do you sell closures?
We do not retail closures at this time. However, we would love to provide recommendations to other beloved companies for the best closure to match our textures. What is Raw Hair?
Raw hair is the most natural form of hair extensions that you can purchase. Raw hair is not chemically processed, post collection, to achieve its' curl pattern or color. Hair is assessed at collection from sacred temple donors and determined to be natural or very close to chemical free, prior to collecting for retail.
Do you offer wholesale?
We are working on a wholesale program for those interested, with hopes of releasing toward the last quarter of 2020.
Are you interested in selling your vendor/s?
No. Please check back with us toward the last quarter of 2020 for a wholesale purchase option.
Store & Shipping
All orders to be shipped require up to 5 business days to process- BEFORE shipping. Keep in mind that during sales, we will inform if the shipping timeframe increases. We do NOT offer express shipping at this time.
Address changes are NOT permitted. Please be sure you have the correct shipping address on your order at the time of purchase.
How far in advance do you book weddings?
Typically 8-10 months out, with some exceptions. This depends on the time of year that you submit your inquiry. All submission requests submitted during the holidays for the following calendar year, may be asked to reach back out to us, post holidays- unless your wedding is between January-March of the upcoming year.
How much do you charge?
Shanita and Kwanza provide bridal servicing at separate rates. We provide custom quotes based on a comprehensive consultation to be conducted face to face or over the phone. Click here to get the process started.
Do you travel?
