Where are you located?


We are located in the heart of Downtown Norfolk, VA. Next to MacArthur Center and across from the beautiful Slover Library, Humble Hair is conveniently situated less than 3 minutes from interstate 264.




Where do I park?


We recommend economy parking at MacArthur Center and having a stroll across the street to find us! Parking here is the most affordable option. Now for you "extra guac" clients, street parking and the Hilton Main parking garage are the closest to our space. You will pay close to $2/hr, depending on signage and posted rates.

How do I book an Appointment?


Click here! Text Kwanza if you are unable to find the perfect date for the service you need. Keep in mind, Shanita is not accepting new permanent clients until further notice.




Does Shanita have a waitlist?


Unfortunately, no. Shanita is unable to maintain a waitlist at this time. However, on the occasion she receives last minute cancellations or openings when clients go on extended breaks (babies, medical, braids, etc). In this case, she sends FLASH APPOINTMENT notifications. You must be subscribed to the website to be notified. Subscribe here.




Deposit/Cancellation Policy


Your deposit is non refundable and only transferrable within a reasonable timeframe, as approved by your stylist. If there is no availability for a reschedule, your deposit may not transfer to a new date. We ask that you provide 1-2 weeks notice for cancelling so that you may have a favorable rescheduling experience. Providing this courtesy allows us to operate smoothly and to service those needing appointments.





Hair Extensions

Do you have hair on site?


We do not allow walk in purchases due to our busy salon schedules. All hair MUST be purchased online. You may check out with the $5 option to PICK UP your purchase. You will receive an email when your order is ready for pickup. Most orders can be ready within 24-72hrs. **YOU WILL PAY THE $5 AT PICK UP** Your fee covers packaging costs for your purchase. Pay methods are Cashapp, Navy Federal Bank transfer (NO ZELLE), Apple Pay or Cash. You may call in advance to ask about the processing time prior to purchasing- 757.535.0003.




Do you sell closures?


We do not retail closures at this time. However, we would love to provide recommendations to other beloved companies for the best closure to match our textures. Reach out to us via email- extensions@humblehair.com. Subj. Closure Recommendation. Be sure to include the texture you are inquiring about for a faster response.




What is Raw Hair?


Raw hair is the most natural form of hair extensions that you can purchase. Raw hair is not chemically processed, post collection, to achieve its' curl pattern or color. Hair is assessed at collection from sacred temple donors and determined to be natural or very close to chemical free, prior to collecting for retail. Humble Hair retails Indian based raw hair. 90% of the world's hair is purchased from India; mostly by China. Unlike India, China conducts batch processing on the hair to guarantee a specific curl or color. With extensive research and experience, we have found that this type of processing does not provide extended life to the hair and is processed this way to make you purchase more, faster. Humble Hair prides itself in offering a REAL product, minus the gimmick. Because the natural hair we grow is already 'dead' once it sprouts from our scalps, the only thing we can do is practice consistent maintenance to keep it healthy. Well guess what? You can treat your raw extensions the same way. What would be the difference other than it can't grow?? We highly recommend HEALTHY HAIR PRACTICES when it comes to caring for your extensions. The more you care for them, the longer they will last. With proper care, your HH Extensions should last 1.5-2 years.

We are working on a wholesale program for those interested, with hopes of releasing toward the last quarter of 2020.

Store & Shipping

Return Policy


No refunds on ALL haircare products. If there is an issue with your order, please contact. No refunds on hair extensions. Exchange upon approval. Your items have been personally inspected and approved for sale by Shanita. If you are purchasing from our raw collection, Sincere, your order will be personally matched by Shanita as well. Please try to purchase the recommended amount of hair in one order so that your raw bundles are best matched! While we do not offer refunds, we welcome your feedback on any problems you may be experiencing. We will offer assistance in bringing the best out of your purchase. Because our hair is REAL, measures like treating and conditioning will be recommended to maintain the hair over time. Just like your hair, the hair can remain 'healthy' with proper care. An exchange will be permitted on a case by case basis within 10 days of receiving your order. You must submit pictures and fully explain the issue you are experiencing. We want to make this the best experience with purchasing a quality product because we stand behind it.




Shipping Policy


All orders to be shipped require up to 5 business days to process- BEFORE shipping. Keep in mind that during sales, we will inform if the shipping timeframe increases. We do NOT offer express shipping at this time.




Address Changes


Address changes are NOT permitted. Please be sure you have the correct shipping address on your order at the time of purchase.





Bridal

How far in advance do you book weddings?


Typically 8-10 months out, with some exceptions. This depends on the time of year that you submit your inquiry. All submission requests submitted during the holidays for the following calendar year, may be asked to reach back out to us, post holidays- unless your wedding is between January-March of the upcoming year.




How much do you charge?


Shanita and Kwanza provide bridal servicing at separate rates. We provide custom quotes based on a comprehensive consultation to be conducted face to face or over the phone. Click here to get the process started.




Do you travel?


Yes we do! Rates are dependent upon services provided, time and distance. You will be required to complete a detailed consultation to discuss your needs in order to determine your custom rate. Request a bridal information packet to get the process started, here.
